Use References Tab :

MS Word References Tab provides its own basic reference system, accessible through the ‘References’ tab on the ribbon. You will be able to include references tab in a document and then generate a bibliography at the end of the narrative. We maintain a master list for references, which you can use to add references tab to other documents within the system. 23rd of February, 2024

Captions

Insert Caption – Add a caption to the bottom of a photo or graphic to offer a brief explanation of what it depicts.

Insert Table of Figures – Include the page numbers of the items that have been captioned in the list.

Update Table – The table of figures is updated so that it contains all of the items that are included in the text.

Cross-reference – This function displays the “Cross-reference” dialog box, which enables you to include cross-referencing into your text. For instance, you may say something like “please refer to page 12” or “turn to page 3.” Hyperlinks are used to incorporate cross references into the text.

Index

Mark Entry – (Alt + Shift + X). Identifies the text that is now chosen so that it may be included in the index of the document by marking it.

Insert Index – Include an index that details the important terms and the page numbers on which they occur.

Update Index – Updates the index table.

Table of Authorities

Mark Citation – (Alt + Shift + I). Assigns the text that is presently chosen to the table of authority so that it may be shown there.

Insert Table of Authorities – A table of authorities for cases, laws, and other authorities is included into the document and will be shown.

Update Table – The table of authorities is updated to incorporate all of the citations that are included inside the publication.
