• Short tales were Martin’s initial foray into the world of writing, and “The Hero” was the first of his works to be published.
• Later on, he worked as a journalist and editor after having previously served as a writer-in-residence at Clarke College.
• “Dying of the Light,” his first work, was released to the public in the year 1977.
• Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Martin penned a number of books and short tales, one of which being the “Wild Cards” series.
• During the latter part of the 1980s, he relocated to Hollywood and began working on television series such as “The Twilight Zone” and “Beauty and the Beast.”
