He was the third son of Denise (née Miller) and Paul Kevin Jonas, and he was born in Dallas, Texas. [3] Jonas was born in Texas. In addition to being a vocalist and a former sign language instructor, Jonas’s father is also a musician, composer, and a former ordained preacher in an Assemblies of God church. Jonas’ mother is also a former minister.
A younger brother named Frankie is Nick’s sibling, and he also has two older brothers named Joe and Kevin. Jonas was brought up in Wyckoff, New Jersey, and his mother educated him outside of the classroom. At the age of six, Jonas was noticed at a barber shop, when his mother was having her hair cut. He was then recommended to a professional show business manager, which was the beginning of his career.
At the age of seven, he made his debut on Broadway, where he played a variety of parts, including those of Tiny Tim, Chip Potts, Little Jake, and Gavroche, amongst others. He collaborated with his father to compose a song named “Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer)” when he was playing in Beauty and the Beast (2002).
The song, which included backing vocals from Jonas’ fellow cast mates, was included on the compilation CD Broadway’s Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure, Vol. 4. Later on, in 2003, the song was made available to Christian radio stations by INO Records. It was Jonas’ first single to be issued by the label.
