MS Word References Tab provides its own basic reference system, accessible through the ‘References’ tab on the ribbon. You will be able to include references tab in a document and then generate a bibliography at the end of the narrative. Table of Contents : Turning down. By including a table of contents in your document, you may provide an overview of the material. The drop-down menu includes the following commands: You should insert the built-in Table of Contents and save the selection to the Table of Contents gallery.

Add Text : Turning down. The drop-down menu includes the following instructions: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3; Do Not Show in Table of Contents; and Level 1.

Update Table : The editor ensures that all of the items in the table of contents correspond to the appropriate page numbers by adding the necessary updates.

Insert Footnote : Together, [Alt + Ctrl + F] This command incorporates a footnote at the current point in the document. If you change text within the page, the footnotes will automatically adjust their numbers.

Next Footnote : Button that has a drop-down menu. This button will take you to the following footnote: For your convenience, the commands Next Footnote, Previous Footnote, Next Endnote, and Previous Endnote can all be accessed via the drop-down menu.

Insert Citation : Turning down. At this point, the drop-down menu includes the commands Add New Source, Add New Placeholder, and Search Libraries.

Manage Sources : It shows a list of all the sources that are referenced in the document that is now active.

Style : You will need to decide on the citation style for the paper.

Bibliography : Turning down. The drop-down menu incorporates the following commands: Insert a bibliography and save the selection to the Bibliography Gallery.
