Insert Tab
The Insert tab in MS Excel (Insert Tab) contains various items. These items include such things as tables, word art, hyperlinks, symbols, charts, signature line, date & time, shapes, header, footer, text boxes, links, boxes, equations and more in Insert Tab.
Tours
3D Map – Button that has a drop-down menu. The “Power Maps for Excel” window is shown when the button is pressed. Commands are included inside the drop-down menu: Activate Power Map and add the data that you have selected to PowerMap. Provides the capability to generate data visualizations inside your spreadsheets. In order to make advantage of this functionality, you will need to activate the Data Analysis add-ins.
Sparklines
Line – Brings up the “Create Sparklines” dialog box, which gives you the ability to place a line chart inside of a single cell.
Column – Displays the “Create Sparklines” dialog box which lets you insert a column chart within a single cell.
Win/Loss – Displays the “Create Sparklines” dialog box which lets you insert a win/loss chart within a single cell.
Filters
Slicer – Use the dates in your tables as filters. On the Table Tools – Design Tab, you will find the exact same command that you are looking for.
Timeline – Apply a filter to the dates inside of your pivot tables, pivot charts, and tables.
Links
Link – Button with Drop-Down. (Ctrl + K). Opens the “Insert Hyperlink” dialog box for your convenience. The list of recent things is included inside the drop-down menu. In the past, it was known as Hyperlink.
Text
Text Box – A textbox that may be positioned anywhere on the page is inserted using this function.
Header & Footer – When you go to the Page Layout view, your cursor will be placed in the header box automatically. The “Header & Footer Tools – Design” contextual tab will then be shown as a result of this action. Simply clicking out of the header or footer will allow you to go.
WordArt – Turning down. Provides you with a selection of Word Art styles that you may input. There is a selection of several styles shown in the drop-down menu.
Signature Line – Button that has a drop-down menu. By pressing the button, a signature line will be inserted, which will specify the person who is required to sign. Microsoft Office Signature Line and Add Signature Services are the commands that are shown in the drop-down menu.
Object – Shows the “Object” dialog box, which enables you to insert objects that are embedded in document.
Symbols
Equation – Turning down. There are other instructions that may be found in the drop-down menu, including Area of Circle, Binomial Theorem, Expansion of a Sum, Fourier Series, and Insert New Equation.
